Experiencing God in Zambia
Words cannot fully express the life-changing experience I had on my first mission trip to Zambia, Africa. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I decided to trump that by creating a video. I absolutely LOVE the people of Zambia because they reminded me of what matters the most in this world–family, community, love for one another, a grateful heart and a sincere heart of worship. Our team of missionaries went there to change the lives of the Zambian people, not realizing that we would be the ones who would never be the same. Despite the numerous challenges and obstacles in their way, everyone we encountered still found a way to smile throughout their day. Despite the dearth of the conveniences many of us take for granted like air conditioning, doors, indoor plumbing, and in some cases electricity, these people praised God with their whole hearts, for hours on end! When the electricity wasn’t available, they used their voices to create beautiful music for God. It encourages me even now that no matter what I may face from day to day, God is still on the throne, completely in control and totally worthy of my sincerest praise. Please take a moment to watch this video and vicariously experience this beautiful place through my camera lens.
